Novena to Father Mychal Judge

History of the Novena
This novena prayer was written by Shannon's grandfather one year ago to be used as a prayer within their family.  It was written because the family had decided to pray for Shannon's Nana who had been suffering from severe Rheumatoid arthritis for years.  Nana was on a high dose of medication which was beginning to affect her liver.  The family chose to begin the Novena on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and to pray it for 9 days.  The family chose not to tell Nana about the prayers because Nana always believed that there were many more souls in need of prayer than she was.  During the Novena, Nana had a routine appointment with her Rheumatologist.  At that appointment, Nana learned of a new and experimental procedure which could possibly minimize or entirely eliminate her symptoms.  The family finished the novena, then shared it with Nana.  She decided to try the new procedure which took 13 weeks of outpatient hospitalizations.  When the treatment was completed, Nana was able to stop taking the medications she had taken for years.  The family believes the Novena brought Nana to healing.

When to Pray the Novena
This novena should be prayed for 9 days and can be used any time during the year.  Special times to begin this novena include:
