Mychal's Message Tiny Treasures Project Comes to Our Lady of the Holy Angels in Little Falls, NJ

Submitted by Jean Haddad, Little Falls, NJ

The Tiny Treasures project at Our Lady of the Holy Angels in Little Falls, NJ was a great success!!

We were able to make up 120 bags thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the people of our parish.  We also had some extras, such as razors and shaving cream, and extra-large sizes of toiletries etc., which were either too large for the regular bags or didn't quite fit in with the other things.

After much thought, we decided to donate everything to the Father English Center in Paterson, NJ.  This center does amazing work with the homeless.  One of the ongoing projects that our parish has with Father English Center is monthly donations of cooked food.  Home cooked dinners are prepared and donated frozen to the center.  The center is also part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network.

After the toiletries were sorted and bagged, we brought them back to the church and a representative from the Father English Center picked them up in their van.  I'm sure that the recipients will enjoy the "tiny treasures" and the enclosed Father Mychal prayer cards.
