Martin Doman
was born in
Collegeville, PA and raised in a strong Catholic family of ten children with
a clear sense of faith and love of music. His first album, Praying Twice,
was recorded shortly before Martin graduated from Franciscan University of
Steubenville, at which point he began a career in full-time ministry. Since
1996, Martin has recorded two additional albums and has been invited to lead
worship at various conferences, retreats, and renewal events.
the innocence mission began as four
friends who met during a Catholic high school production of the musical
Godspell. Since 1989, they have released four critically acclaimed albums:
The Innocence Mission (A&M 1989), Umbrella (A&M
1991), Glow (A&M 1995), and Birds Of My Neighborhood
(RCA 1999). Through recordings and numerous tours, (on their own
and with Natalie Merchant, EmmyLou Harris, 16 Horsepower) they have
remained friends (Don Peris, Karen
Peris, Mike Bitts, Steve Brown).
