Project Results: Stocking The Inn

Once again your generosity has overwhelmed us. Thanks to you “Stocking the Inn” was an incredible success!

In all, more than $2,000 in donations made it to our mailbox, which enabled us to buy nearly 10,000 items for the Inn.  Below is a complete list of what we brought to Father Michael Duffy in Philadelphia on July 4, 2004.

Prepackaged Packs

  • 121 Child's Packs (2 books, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste) - thanks to Andie Petrillo, a local 4th grader who collected and made up all those herself for a Girl Scout Bronze Project

  • 76 Baby Packs (5 disposable diapers and pack of baby wipes)

  • 20 Baby Packs (formula, bottle, baby cereal, spoon, bowl and bib)

  • 20 Woman's Packs (plastic carrying case with shampoo, conditioner, soap, feminine products, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, shavers, deodorant, lotion, comb)

  • 40 Man's Packs (plastic shoebox with shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, shavers, comb, deodorant)

  • 10 Family Packs (shampoo, conditioner, powder, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothpaste, 4 toothbrushes)

  • 20 St. Francis CAT packs (cat food)

  • 20 St. Francis DOG packs (dog food)

  • 94 Feminine Packs (discreet packaging with 6 sanitary pads, 2 tampons and 2 pantiliners)

Cleaning the Inn

       Laundry Detergent – 5 each (200 oz.)

       Dishwashing Liquid – 5 each (64 oz.) and 6 each (38 oz.)

       Pine Sol – 7 bottles (1.5 qt.) and 5 bottles (1.12 gals.)

       Lysol All Purpose Cleaner – 7 (32 oz.)

       Paper Towels – 5 cases (total of 108 rolls)

       Toilet Paper – 6 cases (total of 230 rolls)

       Brillo Pads – 30

 

Stocking the Pantry

       Tea Bags – 11 boxes (100 bags each)

       Ice Tea Mix – 11 cans (each makes 28 qts.) and 2 cans (each makes 21 qts.)

       Peanut Butter – 10 jars (40 oz.) and 1 jar (28 oz.)

       Jelly – 10 jars (32 oz.)

       Dry Milk – 3 boxes (each makes 22 quarts)

       Sugar – 4 bags (10 pounds), 2 bags (25 pounds), and 2 bags (5 pounds)

       Tuna Fish – 48 cans

 

Giveaways

       Philadelphia Phillies baseball caps (donated by Phillies) – 288

       Ice Cream cups (donated by Turkey Hill) – 360

       American flags (donated by American Legion, Lancaster, PA) – 300 

       X-Large Pixie Sticks for the children – 100

       Mini Beanie Babies (Happy Meal toys donated by McDonalds, Lancaster, PA) –114

       Goodie Bags (each containing a bag of Cheez-Its, a chocolate bar, a pack of gum and a
       prayer card) – 300
